2/2/12 = Groundhog Day (since 1886) - Groundhog Day 2012 is the 126th prognostication! Phil will leave his burrow at 7:20 February 2nd at Gobblers Knob in Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania he will observe the weather conditions and look for his shadow he will then make his prediction for the remainder of winter. He speaks "Groundhogese" and was named after King Phillip. If he sees his shadow, there will be 6 more weeks of Winter. If he does not, there wil be an early Spring. Pennsylvania's earliest settlers brought with them the legend of Candlemas Day "For as the sun shines on Candlemas Day, so far will the snow swirl in May..."
